12. Elm Elm Tree
The elm is a deciduous tree belonging not to the beech family, Fagaceae, but to the birch family Betulaceae.
The genus name, “Ulmus,” is derived from the Latin word for elm. It is also known as “elm” in American English and “American elm” in British English.
The species name, “aterrima,” means rough barked; it derives from the Latin word for rough or scaly bark.
13. Baobab Tree
The Baobab tree is also known as the Grandmother Tree and is a species of deciduous tree with a trunk diameter of up to 30 meters (98 ft) that has formed by the trunk growing in diameter for 60–80 years.
The name “Baobab” or “Baa” may come from Arabic: (pawb), meaning “wall”, since its fruit resembles an inverted cone when it falls; or from Swahili: baa (“tree”), because it looks like a tree.
14. Queen Palm Tree
This palm grows in subtropical and tropical climates. It is a tree reaching heights of 15 to 20 meters, with pinnate leaves up to 4 meters long and 10 cm broad, crowning an umbrella-shaped canopy.
The leaflets are dark green with paler undersides, shiny midribs, and a silky pubescent undersurface. The flowers are small, yellowish-greenish in color, produced in clusters on a slender stalk about 18 cm long; they vary from 2 to 5 cm wide.
